Welcome to my page!

My name is Gaurav Mallya, and I am a senior studying Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley. I am always seeking to explore and learn the many fields within Computer Science and am currently interested in software development, computer security, and machine learning. (Relevant Coursework)

Summer 2023: Interned at Benchling where I work on the Workflows team to develop a new end-to-end flowchart feature called Chained Routers. Furthermore, I implemented a back-end API to speed up configuration by allowing users to clone Workflows task schemas.

Summer 2022: Worked at Plate IQ where I created a Django rules validation engine that ensures that invoices follow vendor group specifications.

Spring 2022: Took a gap semeseter to work as a Software Engineer Intern on the Material Flow System at Tesla. Here, I added full-stack features using Golang and refactored the existing MySQL databases. The new features and refactoring have since been directly pushed into production and are currently being used by gigafactories across the globe.

Summer 2021: Interned at Panoramic Computing where I created backend tests using Golang to test backend handlers via integration tests and simulating a live handler.

In my spare time, you'll find me dancing with UCB Zahanat or playing the drums for class projects :P
